If you love balancing your clerical and administration talents with meeting new people, you will love an Administrative Assistant role with Marion Community Services team at Resthaven Marion. The team need a full-time permanent Administration Assistant to join the team.

The Administration Assistant is responsible for providing effective clerical assistance to the Community Services team, as well as general reception duties as required. 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provision of reception/switchboard duties to the public and clients  including: 
  • The provision of excellent customer service by greeting and assisting visitors and clients by handling inquiries and providing information promptly
  • Being the first point of contact for phone calls and clients as they arrive in Community Services 
  • Responding to client queries regarding accounts 

Essential Criteria:

  • In-depth knowledge of office procedures and basic accounting principles 
  • A minimum typing speed of 60 wpm with a high level of accuracy 
  • Empathy with older people with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to reconcile daily money received and preparation of moneys for banking
  • Ability to work cooperatively as a team member of Community Services 
  • Ability to work without direct supervision to complete duties and achieve deadlines
  • Professional telephone communication and customer services skills
