Reporting to the Village Business Manager, we have a fantastic opportunity become available for an Assistant Manager to join our retirement village, The Oaks, based at Fulham. This is a key role involving assisting the Village Manager daily, managing residents’ queries, maintenance of village administration including financial, ensuring the day to day running of the village and filling in for the Village Business Manager when they are absent. This is a permanent part time position, from Tuesday to Friday, between the hours of 9am-2pm and will have some degree of flexibility on start and finish times. There is a possibility of out of hours work as required and the odd sleepover shift. This role would suit someone who has been in similar position and looking for their next career opportunity!

Essential Criteria:

  • Able to do some sleepover shifts as required.
  • Knowledge of budgeting and finance management
  • Communicates effectively with older people.
  • Retirements/Aged Care/Hospitality/Property Management experience
  • Knowledge of Accreditation Standards
  • Working knowledge and understanding of The Retirement Villages Act and OH&S Act
  • Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting and budgeting principles Relevant experience in community, residential or property management.
