An exciting, hands-on opportunity within our friendly Marketing and Communications team is available at Resthaven’s Head Office in Wayville. Your creative skills will be stimulated by a wide variety of marketing and communications activities, in the complex and expanding aged care sector.

A superior communicator with a fine eye for detail, excellent grammar and spelling, good judgement and literacy, you will be highly organised and able to plan, coordinate and manage events effectively under pressure.

You will coordinate a busy events schedule and all associated communication with a positive and proactive attitude, undertake relevant pre and post event market research, analyse and evaluate results and report outcomes and improvements.

Working closely with the Marketing and Communications team, you will coordinate all associated social and owned media and communications relating to the events.

You will have:

  • Professional qualifications and/or experience in event management, multi-media, communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in planning, coordinating, and delivering events and community engagement activities, with the ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities from initial planning through to delivery and evaluation.
  • Strong event coordination and organisational skills, including experience managing event logistics, suppliers, venues, invitations, registrations, communications and on-the-day requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, external suppliers, community partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience in using event management tools and web-based applications (WordPress preferred) and producing visual content for social media and websites.
  • Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs in a Windows environment
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, including well developed oral, written, and listening ability.
  • Ability to relate effectively with a diverse range of people, including the media, general public, residents/clients, volunteers, visitors, relatives, and staff.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team, fostering the trust, cooperation, and support of others, remaining motivated and proactive.
  • Flexibility in attitude towards working schedules, deadlines and situations requiring highly developed time management and priority setting.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising standards.
  • Self-motivation and excellent organisational skills in working to deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent spelling and grammar with accurate keyboard skills and a typing speed of 60 wpm
