Whilst you are based at Resthaven Head office in Wayville, your work will take you to our Resthaven homes and to clients in the community. The role involves utilising your nursing clinical and communication skills to work with older people to gain a history, and assess their continence, or incontinence - and develop person centred continence management plans and review their effectiveness. You will also support Resthaven staff who care for residents and clients that experience incontinence.

Essential criteria:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Post registration qualifications in continence management or a willingness to pursue formal qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Gerontic Continence Practice issues
  • Knowledge of contemporary continence management practices
  • Demonstrated professional clinical nursing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse group of people.
  • Demonstrated ability to work alone and meet the demands of competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated use of initiative
  • Ability to work in a cooperative manner with Program Manager/s and other staff.
  • Commitment to providing quality care to residents / clients.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • A current relevant driver’s licence
