Resthaven employs a team of Coordinating Chaplains who support residents, their family and their friends to meet pastoral care needs. They collaborate closely with others in the residential service team, providing individually-tailored emotional, religious and spiritual support to residents of all faiths – or none.
We are seeking a Coordinating Chaplain to join the team and, in conjunction with the Manager Residential Services, support people by:
The Coordinating Chaplain is responsible to the Uniting Church in Australia Synod of SA in terms of ministerial discipline and adherence to the Code of Ethics, as well as pastoral support and appraisal through the Chaplaincy Manager, Placements and Safe Church Team. You must be an ordained Minister of the Word or Deacon within the UCA, or other denomination in fellowship with the UCA, or similarly qualified lay person with qualifications in Clinical Pastoral Care.
This is a part-time role .3FTE per F/T. In addition, you will have a flexible approach to the hours worked, be a self starter with proven leadership and excellent communication skills and have previous experience in aged care. A current driver’s licence is essential.
