Welcome the opportunity that Resthaven brings! We are seeking empathetic, passionate and evidence-based Dietitians to work across our residential services with the reporting line based at our modern head office at Wayville.  This is a newly created role to Resthaven and instrumental in leading our multidisciplinary and collaborative focussed program providing quality dietetics services to older people residing in our residential aged care services.  You will bring your expertise and knowledge in this field, and it is a great opportunity to make your mark in this role and establish excellent quality standards for Resthaven.  We have the flexibility to offer permanent part time and full-time opportunities.

  Essential requirements

  • Current Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status with Dietitians Australia
  • Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) where applicable
  • An understanding of issues for older people, their families, and carers, with an understanding of ageing and ability to relate to older people.
  • Knowledge of the range and type of nutrition and dietetic services available for older people and people with disabilities
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of a team and communicate effectively with a wide range of people
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to review procedures and implement new models of service delivery to satisfy resident and organisational requirements
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality outcomes and ability to consult with staff regarding continuous improvement
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Work Health and Safety legislation
  • Understanding of quality accreditation systems and their application in the workplace
  • Demonstrated skill and professional practice as a Dietitian
  • Sound computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
