Welcome to Resthaven Port Elliot

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Manager Residential Services to lead our 94-bed residential site nestled in the heart of Port Elliot on the stunning Fleurieu Peninsula. This is a permanent full-time opportunity where your experience and judgement are genuinely trusted and valued. We offer a motor vehicle which is included as part of salary packaging.

You will be required to:

  • Providing visible and inspiring leadership that fosters a positive workplace culture across the Port Elliot site
  • Managing and supporting staff across all areas of the site
  • Work collaboratively with the site leadership team to ensure provision of safe high-quality care across all areas of the site.
  • Drive and implement continuous improvement which respond to the identified service needs and opportunities and meet best practice legislative requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Provide and promote high standards of customer service.
  • Oversee the provision of nursing care congruent with contemporary best practice.
  • Ensuring each resident and representatives are treated with dignity and respect ensuring identity, culture and diversity are valued.
  • Monitor provision and coordination of clinical and nursing care.
  • Undertake treatment procedures including medication management, wound management, nutrition and hydration and pressure area care as required.
  • Engage with health care providers and arrange specialist referrals.
  • Monitor individualised plans and engage therapy services as required.
  • Implement Resthaven’s policy and procedures to ensure compliance and ensure the site satisfy legislated standards for certifications, accreditations, work health and safety and food safety.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in a management role and the ability to highlight your strong leadership skills, build professional relationships but also work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in an aged care environment.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency is essential.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in times of change to achieve positive team culture and client service outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal constructively with conflict, mediate, and negotiate acceptable outcomes. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to on-going personal professional development.
  • Previous aged care experience desired but not essential
  • A current drivers' license.
