Painter - maintenance Relief

We are looking for an experienced painter and all-round maintenance relief person to join our maintenance team based at Edwardstown depot.  You will need to be willing to travel with a Resthaven van and tools provided and hold a current Driver's licence, and willing and able to work across all of our metropolitan and regional sites.  We also provide a uniform.  This is a great opportunity to build on your skills and experience.  This is a permanent full-time opportunity and the rate per hour is $34.63 not including salary packaging!

Essential Criteria:

  • Previous experience in painting and maintenance roles
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain adequate Standards relating to current Maintenance practices
  • Experience operating and using tools and equipment
  • Knowledge of and commitment to Work Health and Safety Principles
  • Ability to comply with Safe Work Practices
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience interacting with a wide range of people
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with Residents and/or their Families/Representatives
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
  • Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences and Spiritual Beliefs of Residents and their Families/Representatives
  • Commitment to professional development and identifying opportunities for service improvement
  • Good organisational and time management skills including the ability to establish priorities and plan work
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member

A qualification in building or trade related area is desirable as well as Certificate II in Building and Construction, Painting and Decorating or equivalent.
