Project Officer Staying at Home in Regional SA
We are looking for an energetic Project Officer – Staying at Home Program in Regional SA to join our Resthaven Community Services Respite Team!
This is a unique opportunity to join Resthaven, a leading aged care organisation in South Australia, and make your mark on this strategically key role! This is a full-time contract opportunity available until 30th October 2028 and is based at our Marion Community Respite location but will require travel to metro and regional locations.
About the role
Reporting to the Manager Respite Community Services, as Project Officer - Staying at Home Program in Regional SA you will:
- Work autonomously to oversee the program and event planning to result in successful delivery of Staying at Home Program retreats.
- Coordinate all aspects of the Staying at Home Program to meet identified objectives
- Facilitate participant engagement, participant assessments and assisting participants to navigate the aged care system.
- Prepare written reports and regular updates on the Staying at Home Program progress to internal and external stakeholders.
- Complete the overall evaluation of the Staying at Home Program to meet reporting requirements.
- Facilitate positive relationships with community aged care and carer stakeholders
What you will have
- A thorough understanding of dementia and associated models of care, particularly in the community setting.
- A thorough understanding of carer support, community aged care, and contemporary aged care issues.
- Experience in project planning, delivery, and evaluation.
- Ability to deliver education sessions to both staff and informal carers.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to a range of different stakeholders both internal and external to the organization.
- Ability to meet agreed targets with minimal supervision.
- Strong literacy and computer skills, including report writing and pr esentation skills.
- Ability to work in a safe manner in accordance with Resthaven’s Work Health and Safety Policies and Procedures, including attendance at annual mandatory training.
- A current driver’s licence.
