Project Officer - Staying at Home Program
We are looking for an energetic Project Officer – Staying at Home Program to join Resthaven. This role is a part time contract role available until 30th June 2026. This is a rare opportunity to join a leading aged care organisation and take up a strategically important role.
About the role:
As Project Officer, you will assist the Manager Community Respite Services, and the Project Coordinator Staying at Home Program to.
- Refine the program planning and delivery of supports to carers including through respite services in the community.
- Prepare written reports and regular updates on the Staying at Home Program progress.
- In collaboration with the Project Coordinator Staying at Home Program, coordinate all aspects of the Staying at Home Program to meet identified objectives.
- Contribute to the overall evaluation of the Staying at Home Program.
What you will have:
- Experience in working in Community Services Coordination position
- Experience in working with people with dementia will be essential
- An understanding of carer support and respite service models, home care packages, community aged care and contemporary aged care issues.
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle
- Ability to work collaboratively to achieve project outcomes including organising/coordinating events.
- Understanding of education and research and the ability to develop and deliver training sessions to a range of staff.
- Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse range of people.
- Competent in use of all Microsoft Office products in particular Word, Excel and presentation software.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and achieve deadlines.
- A deep understanding and genuine passion for dementia care.
