Resthaven has an opportunity for a service-focused Domestic Attendant to work at our Melrose Park Retirement Living site in a casual role. The successful applicant will need to be available to work weekends, with the latest finish time of 6pm.

 

Resthaven was established in 1935 and is one of a select few providers to offer the full range of aged care services. Proudly South Australian, Resthaven is a financially independent, not-for-profit charity associated with the Uniting Church in Australia. 

 

Hours offered would be 15-20 hours per week on a seven day Rotating Roster. The latest finish time would be 6pm on weekdays, 5pm on weekends, with no night shifts.

 

Key Duties:

• Efficient and timely response to residents cleaning needs by making beds, replenishing linens, cleaning rooms and halls.
• Provide general cleaning services to the common areas of the apartments.
• Delivery of meals and drinks cooked by the Chef.
• Preparation and clean-up of dining room and kitchen following the meal service.
• Other duties as directed by Village Manager/Assistant Village Manager.

With your well-developed interpersonal and communication skills you will have demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Candidates with hospitality experience in a Housekeeping or Restaurant environment are encouraged to apply.
