Join Resthaven in the position of Village Business Manager, Retirement Living, in our operations division. You will bring your strong business acumen along with your management experience and knowledge in retirement living, aged care, or related fields including property management and hospitality, ensuring effective daily management and running of the villages. The role will be based across several retirement villages across metropolitan Adelaide. This is a twelve-month contract opportunity to gain experience and develop the role! Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing the retirement village operations at selected villages
  • Leading, developing and supporting village staff
  • Developing and managing good relationships with residents and Resident Committees
  • Focus on business and performance metrics including tracking expenditure, managing budges of the villages, distribute and explain financial statements.
  • Oversee maintenance of the program for gardens, grounds, buildings and equipment, manage contractors.
  • Work with village staff to oversee food deliveries, understand Food Safety Plans, participate in audits, and organise agency staff as needed.
  • Manage internal service providers through service level agreements.
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, emergency and safety plans and related continuous improvement.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience in retirement living, aged care, hospitality, or property management at a supervisory/management level.
  • Leadership experience and staff management skills and experience
  • Knowledge of budgeting and finance management.
  • High level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills
  • Proficiency with business technology and sound business administration competencies.
  • Driver’s licence
