Senior Operations Manager Community Services

The opportunity

Australia's community aged care sector is in transformation and Resthaven has experienced significant growth over the last few years resulting in the need for an additional senior operations leadership position. 

Reporting to the Executive Manager Community Services, you will hold genuine line management responsibility across a portfolio of community services sites, shaping service quality, financial performance, and the culture of a team doing meaningful work for older South Australians and their families.

What you will lead

You will oversee all aspects of business operations across range of community sites involving centre-based operations and in-home service delivery, ensuring person-centred and consumer-directed care principles are embedded in everything we do. You will hold line management responsibility for site managers and their teams, drive financial performance through budget oversight and resource optimisation whilst maintaining high standards of service delivery that exceed compliance requirements. Overall, providing leadership to support older people in continuing to live well in their own homes. 

What we are looking for

• Senior leadership experience in health, aged care or community services, with the ability to work autonomously
• Demonstrated ability to manage quality systems and accreditation in community aged care
• Budget management and financial literacy across program and regional budgets
• Strong change management track record in a reform environment
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders
• Business development and innovation
• Demonstrated ability to counsel staff and clients, handle conflict, and negotiate acceptable solutions

Qualifications and experience

Essential

• Postgraduate tertiary qualifications (preferred) or equivalent senior leadership experience
• Ability to satisfy Key Personnel Requirements of the Aged Care Act 1997
• Experience in direct health service delivery or management of a health-related setting at a senior level
• Experience leading a complex and diverse service offering
• Current driver's licence

Desirable

• Knowledge of home care funding guidelines, standards, and claiming processes
• Knowledge of aged care standards
• Awareness of older people and factors impacting their wellbeing
• Knowledge of contemporary community services delivery models
